Retreat on Pike #3 offers a quiet small-complex setting with a pool, private patio, and a fully equipped kitchen - all within walking distance to restaurants, live music, coffee shops, mini-golf, arcades, and island entertainment. If you want an easy beach vacation where you can park your car and explore the island on foot, this location delivers!
THE LOCATION — WALK TO EVERYTHING
Many guests choose Retreat on Pike simply because of where it sits on the island.
The beach access is located about 100 steps east at the end of the street, making beach mornings and sunset walks incredibly easy.
Once you arrive, you will likely find you do not need your car again.
Nearby favorites within walking distance include:
• Longboards Bar & Grill – bayfront sunsets, live music, late-night eats
• Henrietta’s – upscale Italian dining with an extensive wine list
• Lobo Del Mar – breakfast, live music, and famous sunset bagpipes
• CVS – quick snacks, drinks, and essentials

• Gravity Park – go-karts, Ferris wheel, arcade, mini golf, and rides
Despite being close to the island’s activity areas, the building itself remains a quiet small complex, making it a comfortable place to relax after a day exploring.
THE SPACE
This 2nd-floor condo features a practical and comfortable layout designed for families.
When you walk inside, the living room opens directly to the kitchen and adjacent private patio, creating a simple flow that works well for gathering after the beach.
While many South Padre condos in this price range can feel dated, this one is tastefully decorated, clean, and well maintained.
After a long day in the sun, relax with a movie night on the Smart TV or pull out one of the board games provided.
Just outside the patio, the community pool offers another great way to wind down or let the kids burn off their remaining energy.

The kitchen includes all the essentials for preparing meals during your stay.

Maximum occupancy is 6 guests including children and infants. While we allow 6 people, the space is most comfortable with fewer adults.

OUTDOOR SPACE
A small private patio sits just off the living room — a nice place to enjoy early morning coffee before heading to the beach.
The complex also features a private pool, perfect for cooling off after a day in the sun.
BBQ grills are not allowed at the property, but charcoal grilling is permitted on the public beaches of South Padre Island.
BEACH ACCESS
Public beach access is located roughly 100 steps away at the end of the street.
Because SPI beaches allow pop-up tents and wagons, we recommend bringing both if you plan on carrying beach gear, though beach toys and towels are not provided.
PARKING
Parking accommodates:
• Two regular-size vehicles
OR
• One SUV / truck and one golf cart
Street parking and guest parking are not available.
If additional parking is needed, nearby options include the post office or Gulf Blvd public street parking.

• The property is 2nd floor

Professionally managed by the best vacation host on the Island and airbnb management company South Padre Trips and our office is located at 2600 Padre Blvd and phones are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for added piece of mind
Door codes are sent via text by 3 PM on arrival day.

Starter toiletries and cleaning supplies are provided but not replenished or unlimited
Clean, Fresh linens and bath towels are provided and for stays of 3 nights or more complimentary exchange at the South Padre Trips office is available.

The place was very clean and very cutely decorated. Positives of our stay was everything was walking distance and nice couches and a dining table that fit our family, amongst other things. A few downsides was the bed in the master bedroom didn’t have a fitted sheet, just a protective cover and two flat sheets so in the middle of the night you could feel the protective cover when the flat sheets would come down. The curtain rod in the master also kept falling down when I would try to open the curtains so that was a minor inconvenience. For the other bedroom, the beds weren’t comfortable to me but my sons didn’t complain so that’s a plus! All in all it was a good place! Just a few minor things.

Unfortunately for the owner they need to reconsider hiring a different management team. Chads company is lousy. This listing was presented as a Ground Level rental which is why I booked it. They refused to fix this problem for me. When I called the office the guy I spoke with Alan I said I’d appreciate a timely update because it was hot and I needed somewhere to unwind after a long drive. He said for me to make myself at home in the rental. Then they call me back after 20min or so and offered me the option of a full refund with immediate vacate so long as I haven’t stepped into the rental. I was left flabbergasted. No other option of rebooking me or offering a discount for their FLASE ADVERTISEMENT. At this point there was no other rentals available for the week I booked much less ground level options. Hotel prices had sky rocketed for same day booking. At this point I had already made use of the facilities and their towel to dry my hands so of course that full refund was impossible.
