Thank you for looking at our bright spacious lil' efficiency condo at Gulfview I.
It is located on the 2nd floor, there is an elevator though you are welcome to walk. 2 flights of stairs.
An efficiency condo means that the kitchen/dining flow right into the bedroom area - it is not separate. There is a nice queen bed for mom & dad, a pull out couch for the kiddos, and we do provide an extra airbed if you. have a grumpy teen coming along :) Max allowed is 5 people (yes a baby is a person!) as that is max building HOA allows - sorry. no exceptions.
Gulfview I is a very clean, well maintained condo complex with private beach access for all guests, a crystal clear/clean pool (not heated) as well as 2 heated outdoor Texas Sized jacuzzi tubs, one for family use and one adult only. The beach is about 100 yards away. Very nice seaside grill at Holiday Inn you can access as well for lunch and drinks.
One of the most popular amenities here is you can BBQ by the pool! There are half a dozen BBQ pits (bring charcoal) located by pool with a covered patio and seating/tables. Very hard to find on the Island
If it is gloomy out, there is an inside small community center where guests can chat, play cards or board games, or do puzzles or simply read to get outside.
The condo has a full sized fridge and stove, is fully equipped with pots/pans/forks/plates/etc as well as microwave. There is unfortunately no dishwasher here.
The patio has 2 chairs to watch the sunrise or sunset, and overlooks the parking lot and Schlitterbahn waterpark which is now called Beach Park SPI. it is walkable.

Gulfview I requires all guests to have HOA security wristbands. South Padre Trips pre-collects this fee before your arrival for convenience: $25 per person, fully refundable when you return both your wristbands and your parking permit at checkout.
Please take a photo of them left in the unit at checkout — that photo is your protection for the refund. During March and Easter week (Semana Santa / Holy Week), the wristband fee is $35 per person and is non-refundable. Guests must pay security directly in cash in March and during Easter on arrival may do so, though the cash rate runs higher than what we pre-collect. This is a complex HOA fee outside of our control — we want it fully disclosed before you book so there are no surprises.
Please note: If you are NOT 25 years of age you must contact us prior to booking for us to authorize the reservation as you will be subjected to additional damage deposit and/or damage coverage protection, plan fees, as well as additional stipulations, IF WE ACCEPT RESERVATION AT ALL.
Please contact us prior to making a reservation not after about these stipulations above as we have a strict cancel policy. We are fully disclosing this prior to booking and require all guests to read and agree to all house rules as well as submit a e-sign rental agreement contract with a pic of your photo ID to age verify. This is not optional.
We want to make you aware this is small efficiency condo and is not a true one bedroom condo to ensure that proper expectations are met and you understand this is a value priced budget space less than perfect
While the space is totally functional, it's just that it does not have a bedroom as its own private room and kitchen / bed and the couch / TV one room. Yes the bathroom of course has it's own space with a locking door.

Other things to note
The condo has WIFI by spectrum. Please note internet can be spotty on the Island though we have the highest speed/quality available.

Location was excellent but the unit was dirty in the bathroom and on the floor and there was hair that wasn’t ours in the shower . There was a strong smell of mildew and the dishes weren’t clean but were put away as if they were. Bed was comfortable and so was the pull out bed.

Me gustó mucho, el departamento tiene todo limpio yen su lugar, esta muy cerca para ir a los toboganes, la los juegos mecánicos, pudimos estar en la playa sin horarios, la alberca estaba muy limpia, con gusto vuelvo a reservar

Just as advertised. Well within walking distance to the beach and even a few restaurants and shops. Great value in my opinion.

It had everything we could need. we stayed a week and had no issues at all. Definitely planning to stay again.

I stayed here with my best friend for a long 4th of July weekend and overall had a great stay! Check-in was easy, and the condo had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen. We loved the balcony and used the pool and hot tub every day. Hilda and her team were responsive when we needed help. The only issue was that my friend got locked out after the door code changed at the start of the week. It took a little while to get the new code, but once he reached the team, they texted it over. Keep in mind the listing only includes one parking pass, so a second vehicle will need to park elsewhere. Also, there isn’t direct beach access but it was not a problem for us! The bed was a little uncomfortable, but overall this was a great home base for exploring South Padre Island. We’d stay again.

The location was great very walkable to the beach. Great pool as part of the amenities. The actual unit did not feel clean, the bed sheets smelled dirty and the pull out couch/ bed was very floppy and not very usable. There is noticeable mold stains through out the ceiling. The unit could use some maintenance and cleaning. The host was nice and responsive just the actual unit needs some maintenance.

Great place to stay! Bed is really comfortable and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. Host was very attentive and quick to my response. Thank you hope to be back soon
