Space
This is a great 3rd floor two bedroom condo with a super floor plan for families as you enter the unit the center is the living room and kitchen with patio overlooking pool, tennis courts and view of the ocean. Flanked to the left is the master bedroom with an en suite full bathroom. To the right of the living area is the 2 bedroom which as 2 queen beds. Many recent updates as of Apr 2022 At this time, we have not yet fully renovated kitchen but rest is lots new and totally functionable for a great beach vacation! The master bedroom has a king bed, there is a small sofa too that a child could sleep on (bring extra bedding). We do provide a queen sized airbed as well for the living room just in case though there is a sleeper sofa out there anyway The living DOES HAVE a 70 inch flat screen to watch the game or fun cuddly movies with the kiddos after a long day at the beach. The eat in counter just begs for "breakfast taco bar" in the ams...speaking of which the kitchen is fully equipped for meal prep for your family. While it has granite, the appliances work perfect but are not new stainless. Did you say "who cares?" Exactly. The 3rd does afford an ocean view and is great for morning coffee, reading, or just enjoying a glass of wine or margaritas after a long drive down. This condo is located in the 5th tower of Saida, called the Royal Beach & Tennis Club. Formally all timeshares, there are now many individually owned units such as this unit 9038/39. We havent a clue what the 9 is for as it is truly a 3rd floor. High speed Wifi works great as well as the new Roku tv. Sign into your netflix or amazon and you're good to go. While we have the best available Internet/wifi from spectrum they are the only provider on the island and up time and coverage can be spotty at times we want you to be aware of that If you can't find the network name SouthPadreTrips it's usually means we had a power outage and when the power comes back on It typically defaults the router to the factory network name and password, which is located on a sticker on top of the router. Generally, if you reboot the router by unplugging it for a few minutes and plugging it back in it will pop up The washer/dryer right in the condo is a rare find at the Saida/Royale complex & very handy for wet swimsuits. Saida/Royale is directly on the beach with private beach access gate and an outdoor shower to clean off after the ocean. The property has 3 pools, 1 of which is heated plus 3 Texas sized outdoor hot tubs that are always hot. The property has use of tennis courts, shuffle board, and a bar/grill that is open most weekends if you just dont feel like venturing out. Why Saida is so fantastic is the location! On the South End of the Island as you cross the causeway which means less fighting traffic. The property is walkable to an easy 10 restaurants, including #1 on yelp and trip advisor Yummies, plus Kohnami Japanese & Sushi (not to be missed) Russo Italian, cheap, great pizza and also wine and gluten free selections plus Johnny Rockets. Gabriellas more upscale dinner Italian, Torpical Smoothie cafe for wraps, and "just nearly walkable" Pier 19 that is home to THE BEST Grilled or Blackened Snapper on the island as well as more than superb breakfast easy #2 on island after. Yummies. Heads up - this condo is NOT brand new, completely redone. It doesn't have a "sweeping view of ocean nor bay"....but....as our family has, we CAN guarantee you memories that will last a lifetime in a very, very clean condo that will leave you in need of nothing. Please be alerted to the fact that you need to read the house rules prior to booking, understand and agree to all. Politely ask questions now, not later prior to booking. Important. *Free 1 Parking Off Street Thank you for so graciously considering our beachfront 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom condo. Please note: in the months of March and Easter weekend, the property charges a non refundable fee of $25 + 17% tax on condo security wristband fees. This is a HOA fee and NOT our fee. You can buy them in cash from security OR if you wish to use a credit card, we can pre collect this money from you and get them on your behalf. Again, this is for anyone ages 10 years of age to 32 years of age. Please take note we do require an E sign rental agreement with an attached photo ID after booking is made, We require to maintain our City of South Padre Island Rental License a signed rental agreement you may esign prior to arrival to be checked in with door code therefore you must provide your email address. You must attach a pic of your photo ID OR upload to Airbnb messaging to age verify as 25 years of age or older. If you are not 25, we do NOT allow you to book unless you contact us first :) though it may be possible with additional requirements Please contact us prior to making a reservation not after about these stipulations above as we have a strict cancel policy. We are fully disclosing this prior to booking and require all guests to read and agree to all house rules as well as submit a e-sign rental agreement contract with a pic of your photo ID to age verify. Guest Access
You'll have full access to this beachfront condo, including both bedrooms, two bathrooms, living area, and kitchen. Take advantage of the in-unit washer and dryer. As a guest of the Royale Beach & Tennis Club, you can enjoy the three pools (one heated), three hot tubs, tennis courts, and shuffleboard. Direct beach access is provided, as well as an outdoor shower to rinse off after a swim. The bar and grill are open on the weekends for your convenience.
The Neighborhood
Nestled on the south end of South Padre Island, the Royale Beach & Tennis Club offers a prime location for your beach vacation. You're within easy walking distance or a short drive of numerous dining options, including Yummies, consistently rated as a top choice, and Kohnami Japanese & Sushi. For a taste of Italy, try Russo's or Gabriella's for a more upscale experience. Need a quick bite? Tropical Smoothie Cafe is nearby. If you're looking for fresh seafood, Pier 19 is just a short trip away, known for its grilled snapper and breakfast. The area is known for its family-friendly atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for creating lasting memories. Plus, you're close to the causeway, making it easy to get to and from the island.
Getting Around
While South Padre Island is easily navigable by car, please note that this condo offers free 1 off-street parking for up to one vehicles. The property is located on the south end of the island, which is generally less congested, making it easier to access. For those arriving by air, the closest airport is Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport (BRO), approximately a 35-40 minute drive away. Local taxi and ride-sharing services are readily available on the island for convenient transportation to and from the property and around South Padre Island. Public transportation options are limited on the island, so a car is often the most practical mode of transport.
Notes
Please take note of these important details to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay: Check-in is at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be possible, but please inquire beforehand. The primary guest must be 25 years of age or older and present at check-in. A signed rental agreement and a photo ID are required after booking to verify age. The property has a strict no-party policy and quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 9:00 AM. Loud noises are not permitted at any time. A starter pack of essential supplies is provided, including toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. For stays longer than two nights, you may need to bring extra supplies as we do not replenish them. Parking is available for a maximum of one vehicles. During March and Easter Week, a non-refundable HOA fee of $35 per person (ages 13-33) applies for security wristbands. Please note that the use of an air mattress is available, and guests must bring their own bedding. At check-out, please set the thermostat to 78 degrees, wash all dishes, and take out the trash. Failure to do so will result in an extra cleaning fee.
